You Might Be Hypermobile If
You can scratch every part of your own back.
You sometimes feel like one or more of your joints is just “a little bit” out of place.
You do, or used to do, one or more “party tricks” that show off a weirdly flexible joint.
Your hands, elbows, or knees frequently “look weird” in photos, but you can’t figure out why.
You have sustained injuries typically only seen in athletes, but by doing something totally non-athletic.
You are an adult, and you can “W” sit.
You have super soft skin and/or look very young for your age.
When you lock your knees and look at them in the mirror, your kneecaps flatten and you see “dimples” over them.
These are not diagnostic criteria, but rather practical reasons to suspect hypermobility. If one or more of these apply to you, please read more about Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome at https://www.ehlers-danlos.com
